Bryce Aubrey has a great talent for infusing wry humor into tales of everyday life, sung in his unique tone. His new album, BOOM BANG CITY, is full of raw and honest lyrics, musical textures and driving rhythms. Bryce’s lyrics set him apart from other songwriters. Unusual situations told from his wry perspective combined with unforgettable melodies make his music very contemporary while retaining the strong songwriting qualities of the past

Growing up in New York City and Southern New Hampshire, Bryce
picked up a chord book at the age of 14 and taught himself guitar and later piano and bass. He was immediately struck by the song-writing muse. With so many songs to his credit he went to Boston to record. Bryce moved to NYC full-time in 2004. After an initial dry spell, the locale inspired him and he added about 100 great new songs to his catalog.

BOOM BANG CITY, released in 2006, was recorded at Hot Sound Studio in Chelsea in NYC with chief engineer Jeff Philips. Jeff plays bass on a few tracks while Bryce showcases his skills on guitar and keyboard. The album has received extensive praise. The Montel Williams MS Foundation chose the song “Take Things As They Come” to be included in their compilation CD for the MS Music Fest. “Spinning Angie” has been included on a segment of The Rock ‘n Cookin’ Kitchen TV show, as well as the compilation CD for Right to Rock in Anaheim, California. Most recently BOOM BANG CITY has enjoyed success on college and public radio stations, reaching #1 in Westchester, NY.

2006 was a busy year for Bryce. He was selected to perform at MEANYFest in NYC and also participated in the OS National Band Search sponsored by DiscMakers and Sam Ash Music. Several licensing and publishing companies are representing his songs for placement in TV and film, and Max Cruise Entertainment added him to their roster of artists. He was a member of Singer/Songwriters whose performances were webcast live from CBGB’s. He continues to write profusely and looks forward to bringing his music to new audiences.

“Aubrey… ultimately creates an all-out indie-grunge love fest,” says the Deli Magazine.

Description
The modern creative spirit that Bryce brings to his songs in BOOM BANG CITY blurs the lines between alternative, punk, and rock, blending them into a kind of nihilistic, no wave music coming up from the underground.
